Awareness in Art: Homelessness and Hunger through the eyes of Austin youth

ACT- Austin Children’s Theater- and ECHO- Ending Community Homelessness Coalition- invite Austin area youth to participate in a new city-wide art project. As a part of Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, ACT and ECHO are collaborating to raise awareness through art and create a dialogue about homelessness and hunger in our community. We are looking for all forms of art and expression that explore the questions “What is homelessness?” and “What is hunger?” The pieces will be displayed and performed as part of the ECHO Family Festival, the kickoff to Austin’s 2012 Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week.
